Distinguishing its presence on the road – the exterior design of the new BMW 7 Series needs to be seen to be believed. The re-designed front and rear profile of the vehicle truly enhance its luxurious presence. At the forefront of the new BMW 7 Series is its unmissable one-piece Kidney grille, which is fifty percent larger than its predecessor. Perfectly linked, the optional slender Laserlights, seen below, include specific design elements that illuminate over 500 metres of the road. The enlarged air inlets on the front bumper signify the impressive stance of the new BMW 7 Series. From the rear profile, it is clear that the new BMW 7 Series simply doesn’t understand the meaning of the word compromise. The sculpted LED tail lights showcase the vehicle's authority on the road. Perfectly complementing the Chrome strip of the boot lid, the running light sits directly above it and, in conjunction with the rear tail lights, completely emphasises the width of the new BMW 7 Series. Completing the rear profile, the re-designed rear bumper proves that the new BMW 7 Series is a timeless luxury. With a range of new engines available, there is certain to be something to suit your personality. - BMW

Many have still never heard of it. Some believe it’s all just a myth. For the true fan, though, behind the idyllic green hills of the Swabian region in Germany the promised land does exist: Flacht. The home of Porsche Motorsport. Our home. The place in which the Porsche heart beats the fastest. Where the transfer from motorsport into series production is routine daily practice. Where the proving ground is our playground. And precision is our greatest passion. Here, in Flacht, is where the new 911 GT3 turned its first laps. Here is where the mighty sound of its 4.0-litre horizontally opposed and naturally aspirated engine roared for the first time. Here is where the chassis was tuned over the course of countless test kilometres with the meticulous scrutiny only otherwise afforded to the Porsche 919 Hybrid for Le Mans.

Our engineers invested all their racing experience into it, tweaking and honing into the night. Afterwards, they would all say: “It couldn’t get any better.” Only to ask themselves the next morning: “Could we not make it even better?” A hundredth of a second faster, a percentage point more agile, a gramme lighter? Then – and only then – could we award the highest distinction there is at Porsche: Born in Flacht. The new 911 GT3.

Rational. Irrational. Sanity. Insanity. Perfect. Perfectly crazy. The difference is sometimes extremely subtle. And sometimes it is as sharp as a razor. The new 718 Cayman GT4 is the perfect sports car for those who like to push the limits. For those who would rather ask ‘why not?’ than ‘why?’. For those who take fun seriously and who would rather sit in a sports seat than a leather armchair. For those people, we have fitted the new 718 Cayman GT4 with everything which makes your pulse race. 4.0-litre six-cylinder horizontally opposed and naturally aspirated engine with 420PS, manual transmission, rear wing. With a diffuser which demands respect, and extremely outputoriented aerodynamics. GT3 technology for the chassis and the interior – motorsport genes. The result is a brutal driving machine which has never even heard of autonomous driving. Perfect? Perhaps. Irrational? Probably. The truth – like the engine – is in the middle. But in this case, this middle is not a compromise, it’s razor sharp. The new 718 Cayman GT4. Perfectly irrational

Utilising the chassis of the GT3 and the body shell of the Carrera 4 Cabriolet, the Speedster includes the GT3's 4.0-litre naturally aspirated Flat-6 engine generating a maximum power output of 500 PS (368 kW; 493 hp) and having a red-line of 9,000 rpm coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission and titanium exhaust system which are claimed to be 4 kg (9 lb) lighter than the 7-speed manual transmission found on the standard 991 models. The car also features the signature "hump" shaped double-bubble roof cover along with a shorter windshield frame, side window glass and the analogue roof folding mechanism retaining the "Talbot" wing mirrors and the central fuel cap from the 911 Speedster concept unveiled earlier at the Goodwood Festival of Speed harking back to its use on the 356 Speedster. Other highlights include a leather interior with perforated seats, red-tinted daytime running lights, carbon fibre fenders, engine cover and hood and stone guards. Production will begin in the first half of 2019 and be limited to 1,948 units in honour of the year in which the 356 "Number 1" gained its operating license. The final production version of the Speedster was unveiled at the 2019 New York Auto Show in April and dropped the "Talbot" wing mirrors in favour of standard 991 wing mirrors.

Classic Touring Meets the New G21.

Well over two million BMW E30s were produced back in the 1980s. But did you know the original 3 Series Touring wasn’t developed by BMW at all? Well, not as such. It was the work of Max Reisbock, a BMW engineer, who found the saloon version wasn’t practical enough for his growing family. So he bought a wrecked 323i and converted the car himself. BMW liked the design so much, a factory version was built with only minimal changes to Max’s original design. Now 30 years on, here to make a lasting impression is the latest G21 BMW 3 Series Touring. Offering sublime handling, intelligent storage solutions, next-level connectivity and a new athletic design language, it opens up the journey to amazing possibilities. - Wiki

The Arnage, and its Rolls-Royce-branded sibling, the Silver Seraph, were introduced in the Spring of 1998, and were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980. Another break from the past was to be found under the bonnet, for decades home to the same 6.75-litre V8 engine, a power plant which could trace its roots back to the 1950s. The new Arnage was to be powered by a BMW V8 engine, with Cosworth-engineered twin-turbo installation, and the Seraph was to employ a BMW V12 engine. The Arnage is over 5.4 meters (212 in) long, 1.9 metres (75 in) wide, and has a kerb weight of more than 2.5 metric tonnes. For a brief period it was the most powerful and fastest four-door saloon on the market. - Wikipedia

The 2018 Porsche 911 Carrera T shot in Scotland for Porsche Centre Perth.

The model’s unique appearance is based on the 911 Carrera and its engine delivers 272 kW (370 hp; Fuel consumption combined 9.5 – 8.5 l/100 km; CO2 emissions 215 – 193 g/km). The 911 Carrera T – at Porsche, “T” stands for Touring – also boasts several other equipment features that are not available for the 911 Carrera, including the PASM sports chassis as standard, lowered by 20 mm, the weight-optimised Sport Chrono Package, a shortened shift lever with red shift pattern and Sport-Tex seat centres. The rear-axle steering, which is not available for the 911 Carrera, is available as an option for the 911 Carrera T. Every aspect of the equipment in the 911 Carrera T is designed to optimise sportiness and deliver lightweight construction: The rear window and rear side windows are made from lightweight glass and the door trims feature opening loops. The sound absorption has been largely reduced. The rear seats have been omitted along with the Porsche Communication Management (PCM), though both are still available on request at no additional cost. The result of the lightweight construction measures: At an unladen weight of 1,425 kilograms, the two-seater is 20 kilograms lighter than a 911 Carrera with comparable equipment. - Porsche

2018 Ford Mustang Coupe

2018 Ford Mustang shot in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Ford Mustang is an American car manufactured by Ford. It was originally based on the platform of the second generation North American Ford Falcon, a compact car. The original 1962 Ford Mustang I two-seater concept car had evolved into the 1963 Mustang II four-seater concept car which Ford used to pretest how the public would take interest in the first production Mustang. The 1963 Mustang II concept car was designed with a variation of the production model's front and rear ends with a roof that was 2.7 inches shorter. Introduced early on April 17, 1964 (16 days after the Plymouth Barracuda), and thus dubbed as a "1964½" by Mustang fans, the 1965 Mustang was the automaker's most successful launch since the Model A. The Mustang has undergone several transformations to its current sixth generation. - Wikipedia

Porsche 911 [993] Carrera Coupe Classic Car

The 1997 Porsche 911 [993] Carrera Coupe shot in Scotland for Peter Vardy Heritage.

The Porsche 993 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold between January 1994 and early 1998 (model years 1995–1998 in the United States), replacing the 964. Its discontinuation marked the end of air-cooled Porsches. The 993 was much improved over, and quite different from its predecessor. According to Porsche, every part of the car was designed from the ground up, including the engine and only 20% of its parts were carried over from the previous generation. Porsche refers to the 993 as "a significant advance, not just from a technical, but also a visual perspective." Porsche's engineers devised a new light-alloy subframe with coil and wishbone suspension (an all new multi-link system), putting behind the previous lift-off oversteer and making significant progress with the engine and handling, creating a more civilized car overall providing an improved driving experience. The 993 was also the first 911 to receive a six speed transmission.

Volkswagen Beetle 1997 1.6L

Volkswagen Beetle 1997 1.6L Automotive Photography in Scotland.

The Volkswagen Beetle—officially the Volkswagen Type 1, informally in German the Käfer (meaning "beetle"), in parts of the English-speaking world the Bug and known by many other nicknames in other languages—is a two-door, rear-engine economy car, intended for five occupants (later, Beetles were restricted to four people in some countries), that was manufactured and marketed by German automaker Volkswagen (VW) from 1938 until 2003. The need for a people's car (Volkswagen in German), its concept and its functional objectives were formulated by the leader of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, who wanted a cheap, simple car to be mass-produced for his country's new road network (Reichsautobahn). Members of the National Socialist party, with an additional dues surcharge, were promised the first production, but the war shifted production to military vehicles instead. Lead engineer Ferdinand Porsche and his team took until 1938 to finalise the design. Béla Barényi is credited with first conceiving the original design for this car in 1925, notably by Mercedes-Benz, on their website, including his original technical drawing, five years before Porsche claimed to have done his initial version. The influence on Porsche's design of other contemporary cars, such as the Tatra V570, and the work of Josef Ganz remains a subject of dispute. The result was the first Volkswagen and one of the first rear-engined cars since the Brass Era. With 21,529,464 produced, the Beetle is the longest-running and most-manufactured car of a single platform ever made.

Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Coupe

For the 2011 model year, Porsche introduced the first-ever GTS model for the 911. Designed as a drivers car, the GTS was more powerful than the S, better handling via a bespoke suspension design, and positioned as a more street-friendly alternative to the GT3, Porsche's track-focused 911 variant. The GTS featured race-inspired Center Lock Wheels, unique styling including a Sport Design front bumper, special rear bumper, blackout trim, side skirts borrowed from the GT2 model, brushed stainless steel "Carrera GTS" door sills and Alcantara trim. Many GTS' were ordered with the Alcantara delete, instead of being built with leather. The GTS was very rare in that is was a rear-wheel-drive Wide-Body design (44 mm wider than a standard 911), 20 mm lower and offered 408 HP (versus 385 HP for the S) like the similar, limited volume Sport Classic and the Speedster. Porsche built approximately 2,265 total GTS models for the world market, as well as a handful designated as 2012 models. The enthusiastic reception the GTS model received from both the motoring press and consumers, convinced Porsche to make the GTS a staple of the 911 line beginning in 2015, with the "type 991" 911 successor.
