Porsche 911 993 Turbo Automotive Photography in Scotland.
Car photography is something that has always captured my imagination and there's nothing quite like photographing a dream car. For me that dream car has always been the iconic Porsche 911 Turbo. It wasn't a car that I decided to like in my 20s or 30s - I was obsessed with it as soon as I saw it in 1994. My obsession was such that my mum had to buy me nearly every printed book with a 993 on the cover which I still have as well as scale models.
Unfortunately as much as I've dreamt about owning one the 911 Turbo is now a rare and expensive dream that's out of my reach. However I'm lucky enough to know someone who owns my ultimate spec 911 Turbo finished in Schwarz Black. That person is G from Outlander Vehicles a company that specialises in individual Defenders.
As soon as G's 911 Turbo came back to Scotland I knew that I had to photograph it. The 993 generation of the 911 Turbo represents the pinnacle of the car's design and performance and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to capture its essence and appeal in my photography.
One of the things that makes the 911 Turbo so special is its powerful engine distinctive styling and excellent handling. Over the years Porsche has continued to refine and improve the Turbo making it one of the most sought-after sports cars in the world. And for me the 993 Turbo holds a special place in my heart.
Photographing G's 911 Turbo was a dream come true. The car's sleek lines and aggressive stance made it a joy to shoot and I was able to capture some truly stunning images that showcase the Turbo's beauty and power. It was a challenge to do justice to the car in my photography but I'm proud of the results.
The goal is to capture the essence and appeal of a car in a single image and that's no easy feat. But when you're photographing a dream car like the 911 Turbo the challenge becomes even greater. Every detail every angle and every reflection has to be just right to do justice to the car's beauty and power. I ended up using a mixture of lighting for this shoot to make it slightly more interesting.

2023 Defender 90 Hardtop Photography in Glencoe Scotland.
For 1970, the C-Series 911 was introduced with a larger cylinder bore giving a capacity of 2165cc, producing 125bhp and now badged as a "T" at this power output. Alterations to suspension pick-up points improved the handling and gave a little more steering feel. Six-inch Fuchs 'five-leaf' forged alloys were now a standard fit.
The 911T was launched in 1967 and effectively replaced the 912. The staple model was renamed the 911L. The 911R, a lightweight racing version with thin aluminium doors, a magnesium crankcase, twin-spark cylinder heads, and a power output of 210 PS (150 kW; 210 hp), had a very limited production of just 20 cars

2023 BMW M3 Competition Touring at Knockhill Race Circuit.
Recently I had the opportunity to photograph the latest addition to the BMW M family the all-new BMW M3 Touring at the legendary Knockhill Race Circuit. To make the shoot even more special we included previous generation M3s - the E36, E90, and F80 - in the frame creating a beautiful contrast between the past and present. Big thanks to Omar for sourcing all the previous gen models for the shoot!
The M3 Touring striking exterior and an aggressive stance was accentuated by the stunning backdrop of Knockhill. The powerful engine producing an impressive 510 horsepower allowed us to capture the car in motion showcasing its dynamic capabilities…
Compared to its predecessors the M3 Touring's design reflects the evolution of BMW's iconic M series while still paying homage to its heritage. The E36, E90, and F80 M3 models provided a great contrast showcasing the evolution of the M3 over the years.
As a car photographer I was over the moon to capture these legendary vehicles in one frame. The result is a collection of stunning images that any car enthusiast would love to see (I hope!!). If you're a fan of BMW M series this photoshoot is not to be missed.

Nissan X Trail Photographed in Aberdeen 2023.
As a car photographer and the owner of Kabizzz, I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to photograph the brand-new 2023 Nissan X-Trail in the picturesque city of Aberdeen for work. This versatile and advanced vehicle presented the perfect subject for me on the day, and I was determined to create a set of images that would truly showcase the dynamic look of the X-Trail.
To achieve this, I knew that I needed the right equipment. I decided to use my trusty Canon R5 camera and a DJI drone to capture the X-Trail from every angle. The Canon R5, with its 45-megapixel full-frame sensor, allowed me to capture every detail of the X-Trail's exterior. The camera's advanced autofocus system also ensured that every shot was sharp and in focus. But what really set my photos apart was the use of the DJI drone.
The drone allowed me to capture unique aerial perspectives of the X-Trail, showing off its sleek design and advanced technology. I was able to capture images of the X-Trail parked on a peer overlooking the North Sea in Aberdeen. I also used the drone to capture panoramic shots of the X-Trail parked in front of the beautiful Scottish landscapes, showcasing the contrast between the modern vehicle and the natural beauty of the area.
In addition to the drone, I also used a variety of other techniques to capture the X-Trail in the best light possible. I experimented with different shutter speeds, apertures and ISO settings to create a range of images with different moods and atmospheres. I also used reflectors and diffusers to control the lighting and create a sense of depth and dimension in the photos.
One of the most challenging aspects of the photoshoot was capturing the interior of the X-Trail. I wanted to show off the advanced technology and comfortable design of the vehicle, but it can be difficult to get the right lighting and angles in such a confined space. I used a combination of natural light and artificial light sources to create the perfect balance, and I was pleased with the results.
Overall, I am happy with the final set of images I captured of the new Nissan X-Trail. They showcase the beauty and power of the vehicle, and they highlight the unique perspectives and techniques that I used as a car photographer. I hope that these images will inspire other car enthusiasts and photographers, and I look forward to my next opportunity to capture a vehicle in such an incredible way.
I believe that car photography is an art form that requires both technical skill and creative vision. It’s a great way to showcase the beauty of cars and the art of photography, and I am always seeking new ways to improve my skills and push the boundaries of what is possible.
The 2018 BMW M2 LCI shot in Scotland.
A glance at the front end of the 2018 BMW M2 reveals characteristic M design features. The signature BMW kidney grille, with its black-painted double bars replicating the design of the M double-spoke wheels, carries the BMW M logo. And the three-dimensional design of the grille has a “shark nose” feel to it. The modern take on the BMW twin circular headlights underlines the car’s forward-surging look and establishes a close stylistic connection with the grille. This further sharpens the focus of the all-new BMW M2 on the road ahead.

I chose a beautiful location for the shoot that would highlight the Audi R8 V10's design and performance capabilities. The image captured the vehicle in motion with the wind rushing past and the sun shining down highlighting the vehicle's aerodynamic design and powerful engine.
In every shot I aimed to highlight the Audi R8 V10's stunning details from the lines of the body to the precision of the headlights. Each detail is a testament to the precision engineering and design that has gone into this incredible machine.
In post-production I carefully selected the best shots to showcase on my website. Each image tells a story and captures a moment in time showcasing the Audi R8 V10's power and beauty in a way that only photography can.

2023 Defender 90 & 110 car photography at Gleneagles.
I recently had the opportunity to photograph the new Land Rover Defenders 90 and 110 at Gleneagles in Scotland marking John Clark's vehicle partnership with them.
The shoot was an exciting and challenging experience as we had to capture the rugged and adventurous spirit of the new Defenders in the stunning Scottish landscape. We wanted to showcase the vehicles' capabilities from their advanced off-road technology to their design.
Gleneagles provided the perfect backdrop for the shoot with its rolling hills winding roads and dramatic views. We took full advantage of the location capturing the Defenders in action on and off-road as well as in more tranquil settings like by a quiet stream or on a peaceful hilltop.

Nissan Skyline GT-S R32 Photographed in Scotland.
The R32 Skyline debuted in 1989. It was available as either a 2-door coupe or 4-door hardtop sedan, all other bodystyles were dropped. The R32 featured several versions of the RB-series straight-6 engines, which had improved heads (the twelve port inlet was gone) and used the ECCS (Electronically Concentrated Control System) injection system. Also available was an 1,800 cc 4-cylinder GXi model. Most models had HICAS four-wheel steering, with the rear wheels being hydraulically linked to the front steering. The 2.5-liter GTS-25 became one of the first Japanese production cars to feature a 5-speed automatic transmission. The GTS-t came in standard and Type M configurations, with the Type M having larger five-stud 16-inch wheels, four piston front calipers and twin piston rears plus other minor differences. - WIKI

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The initial model was available in a coupé body style, with a convertible body style added soon after. M3 sedans were available during the E36 (1994-1999) and E90 (2008-2012) generations.
The E30 M3 used the BMW S14 four-cylinder engine, a high-revving DOHC design with a head closely based on that of the BMW S38 six-cylinder engine, the block from the BMW M10 four-cylinder was used. In countries where the M3 was sold with a catalytic converter, the initial versions produced 143 kW (192 bhp) and had a top speed of 235 km/h (146 mph). In countries where a catalytic convertor was not required, the engine produced 149 kW (200 bhp). In September 1989, European M3s were upgraded to the 158 kW (212 bhp) (as introduced on the Ravaglia special edition model), increasing the top speed to 240 km/h (149 mph).
Sport Evolution
A more powerful and lighter "Sport Evolution" model (sometimes referred as "EVO3") with a limited production run of 600 units was produced with an upgraded 2,467 cc (150.5 cu in) engine producing 175 kW (235 bhp) at 7,000 rpm and 240 N⋅m (177 lbf⋅ft) at 4,750 rpm. The top speed was increased to 249 km/h (155 mph). Sport Evolution models have enlarged front bumper openings and an adjustable multi-position front splitter and rear wing. Brake cooling ducts were installed in place of front fog lights.

The BMW 1 Series M Coupe ("1M Coupe") is a high-performance version of the BMW 1 Series Coupe, developed by BMW's motorsport branch BMW M. While BMW naming convention would have called the car the "M1", the name "BMW 1 Series M" was used instead, to avoid confusion with the original BMW M1.
At the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show, BMW unveiled the "BMW 1 Series tii Concept", which was thought to be a preview of the M version of the 1 Series. However, the eventual M model appeared four years later and with significant differences, such as a six-cylinders instead of four. BMW officially announced the making of the M variant of the BMW 1-Series Coupé in December 2010. The 1M coupe was BMW M's second turbocharged engine (after the S63 V8 which debuted in the X6M). Since the 1M Coupe's N54 engine was also used in the E89 BMW Z4 sDrive35is, the 1M Coupe is only the second M model, after the Z8 and E39 M5's shared S62, to use an engine shared with non-M models. The outputs for this engine are 250 kW (335 bhp) at 5900 rpm and 450 N⋅m (332 lb⋅ft) from 1,500 to 4,500 rpm. An additional 50 N⋅m (37 lb⋅ft) is produced during overboost taking overall peak torque to 500 N⋅m (369 lb⋅ft). The only available drivetrain is a six-speed manual gearbox with an M limited slip differential. The front and rear track widths were widened by 7 cm (2.9 in) and 5 cm (1.8 in) respectively. As a result, the overall width is 1,803 mm (71 in). The curb weight is 3,296 lb (1,495 kg). Initial plans were to limit production of the 1M Coupe to 2700 units, however the final production total was 6309. The 1M Coupe placed third in Evo Magazine's 2011 Car of the Year (eCOTY) awards. It also featured on Top Gear on 26 June 2011 and recorded a time of 1:25.0 around the Top Gear test track under damp conditions. and received "Richard Hammond's Car of the Year 2011" award in the Top Gear magazine.
